Brief Introduction of 2011 BMW x5
BMW was the world's first automobile manufacture to produce V8 engines. Using the most modern technology, BMW has created engines that lead the way. When seen for quite a while, there appears almost no to set the 2011 BMW x5 apart from today¡¯s model. Nonetheless, BMW claims more than 4,000 modified or renewed parts have found their way into this strong-selling suv. New turbocharged inline-six and V-8 gasoline engines mated to eight-speed automatic transmissions. There's room for five to travel comfortably and ample space in the cargo hold for stowing groceries, sporting equipment or anything else modern motorists would have reason to schlep around with. It has definitely been among the very best ¡°sports-SUVs¡± on the market.
The new BMWx5 cars get the fresh exterior and interior colors combined with latest iDrive and different light alloy wheel designs complete the makeover. The hood and grille are carry-over, but the plastic front fenders now meet a full-width and painted front bumper skin containing larger apertures and a scuff-plate-look metallic lower trim piece. The interior of the 2011 x5 is among the best in this class of cars. The dashboard has a gentle curve and a design that creates the entire instrument array on the dashboard simple. The 2011 X5 gets the latest generation of turbocharged diesel (xDrive35d) and gasoline engines (xDrive35i and xDrive50i) as well as BMW¡¯s eight-speed automatic transmission as standard.
The 2011 BMW X5 is equipped 4.4-liter dohc 32-valve V8 engine capable of delivering 315 horsepower at 5400 RPM. Our improved 2011 BMW X5 info is available here for your use and comparison. The 2011 BMW X5 V8 has a state-of-the-art engine cooling system that changes to answer the engine's requirements. The powerful alternator, for example, is water-cooled. Variable intake valve timing (VANOS) and Digital Motor Electronics (DME) work nonstop to ensure the engine is running at maximum efficiency.
BMW has also dropped in new Active Steering and Active Drive systems, which play with the vehicle's electronic dampers and steering ratio to give the high-riding SUV a more stable feel. The truck feels much more cohesive, and for the first time, the engine, transmission and all-wheel drive system work seamlessly. Thanks to the quick-spooling single turbocharger, the power comes on low in the rpm band and stays on all the way to redline. Lag is kept to a minimum, always giving the driver power on tap. The engine always seems to be operating in a sweet spot, neither burdened nor screaming (unless you're purposefully hammering the throttle), and the shifts are so smooth in stop-and-go traffic that you don't notice them unless you're hunting.
The new BMW x5 2011 is definitely an attractive, and most chosen, mid size, high-class suv vehicle. In an era of ever-tighter fuel-economy regulations and emissions standards, BMW managed to squeeze even more power out of an already capable platform. The turbo engines inject more power into the SUV than ever before, and its breakneck 0-60 times reflect that. If you're a BMW fan, particularly of the X5, this is a nice upgrade.

3 Common Sense of Car Maintenance at Summer
Keep the interior of the car clean
The car windows are often open during summer, so a lot of dirt can get into the car and adhere to the seat and ceiling. Accordingly, you should do the cleaning work on time.
Check the brake system
It rains a lot during summer, and the road gets slippery after raining. At this time, a sensitive brake system is very important. So be sure to check out the brake system and get everything ready before raining season.
Be cautious of spontaneous combustion and spontaneous detonation
The temperature is high during summer, and the high temperature can bring more troubles to your car, so you should check out carefully especially the electric and oil circuit.
Avoid the problem of lubrication
The lubrication oil is easy to go bad during summer. So check it out frequently and change it in time if needed.
Use air conditioner rightly
The air conditioner is used very often during summer, use it rightly to avoid damage and waste.
Protect the paint surface well
The paint surface is easy to damaged by strong sunlight. So you need to wash and wax your car often.
Anti- vaporization
Oil and water are both easier to evaporate during summer. So be sure to cover the lid well.
Anti-freeze fluid is still needed during summer
You may think that the normal tap water is OK. But the truth is the Anti-freeze fluid is not only low temperature resistant but also high temperature resistant. It can also prevent rusting and remove dirt.

4 A Car Maintaining Method You Can¡¯t Neglect
When car maintaining is concerned, what we usually do are cleaning the surface of the car, testing the tire. And deep cleaning of the inner car is always neglected, for example car air conditioner.
Many car owners may find that it doesn¡¯t smell good in their cars which looks clean. At this time, many of you may solve the problem by spraying some perfume or air freshener. Actually, the peculiar smell is only covered, not be removed. Or it is a kind of pollution itself. The air will get even worse if you don¡¯t solve the problem fundamentally.
The reason is you haven¡¯t clean your air conditioner enough. So a lot of dirt and dust have gathered inner air conditioner. So numerous bacteria, acarids, LP bacillus can live accordingly. After turned on, these microorganisms will get into your car through pipe. Then, you can smell the thing.
So, in your daily car maintenance, don¡¯t forget the air conditioner.

Something You Should Know About Windscreen Wiper
Windscreen Wiper is a kind of frequently used part especially in raining season. And a good pair of Windscreen Wiper can add great convenience to your driving, vice versa. So we should maintain this item carefully. This item is easily broken and needs to be replaced at least once per year according to professor’s suggestion.
If the rubber and bracket of the Windscreen Wiper is out of shape, then you need to change it
Even if you don’t use it often, the rubber is easy to perish if insolated. According to professor’s prompt, you can judge if yours needs to be replaced easily: if there is noise or long stria which affects your view, then something must be wrong with your Windscreen Wiper, and you need to change it.
How to choose a pair of suitable Windscreen Wiper for yourself
Many cars have two different-sized windscreen wipers; the driver's side blade is usually the longest. The alternative is simply to take your car to a specialist such as Autoglass® who not only sell wiper blades but will fit them for free at their branches saving you the hassle.
Wipers come in various designs including flat blades and sizes from 13 inches to around 28 inches. Which blade you need depends on your car. Wipers are manufactured by companies including Bosch, Michelin, Champion, Trico and Valeo and are sold by local garages, via eBay, by car parts specialists, online stores, large retailers such as Halfords and by windscreen repair and replacement companies such as Autoglass®.
Not sure which wipers you need? Have a look in your car's owner's manual or get out a tape measure and measure your windscreen wipers. Measure them both because many cars have one wiper blade longer than the other.
Replace the Windscreen Wiper Yourslef
You should replace both wipers at the same time to help ensure clear driving vision from the entire windscreen. Don't forget to replace the rear blade if you have one at the same time. It is important to clean the windscreen before installing new wipers.
Step 1 - Remove Wiper Blade. Raise the wiper arm off the screen. Prise away the wiper blade and holder from the wiper arm by pushing its locking tab inwards.
Step 2 - Remove New Wiper Blade From Packet. Take the new wiper blade and holder from the packet and check that you have it the correct way up.
Step 3 - Replace Wiper Blade. Replace the wiper blade and holder on to the wiper arm. This is usually the straight reverse of what you did to remove it.
Step 4 - Lower Wiper Arm. Lower the wiper arm so that the new wiper blade sits neatly at the base of the screen.
Finally, if your Windscreen Wiper is only damaged slightly, don’t waste time and money changing it. The blade is only out of shape slightly, you can solve the problem with a piece of abrasive paper. First, get the abrasive paper ready, second, dismantle the Windscreen Wiper, then rub the blade with wet abrasive paper for only 4-5 times. Then, the blade will get flat again, then the problem is solved.

Motor oil is essential to the performance and function of a vehicle. The oil you put in your vehicle is the life blood of the engine. It lubricates car engines and related components, keeping them running smoothly. It also holds all the dirt generated by fuel combustion and friction in suspension, and it keeps all moving parts coated in oil. The various types of motor oil on the market are designed for different purposes. Choosing the best motor oil is a topic that comes up frequently in discussions between motorheads, whether they are talking about motorcycles or cars. To buy suitable engine oil for your car, let¡¯s first understand a little basic about engine oil.
There are 3 different types of engine oil ¨C Mineral Oil, Semi-Synthetic Oil and Synthetic Oil. Mineral oil is based from distillation of crude oil while pure synthetic oil is derived from the re-construction of polymers in a lab. Pure synthetic oil is used exclusively for heavily loaded high performance engines and the cost of manufacturing these are way beyond the budget of consumers. Semi-synthetic is a blend of mineral oil and synthetic oil. The synthetic engine oils that we use (like Mobil 1) are actually derived from a mineral oil refraction process.
Most newer cars can use a wide range of motor oils which reach certain standard. This way, once you have learnt what motor oil the car owner¡¯s manual indicates, you might be able to choose among a range of oils which fulfill those indications and enter into the description.
The thickness affects how the engine performs. Older cars tend to be worn down, and thin oil will cause more friction between parts. This causes the car to wear out faster than normal. Thicker oil is better as your car ages, but thick oil can make it harder for your car to cope with cold conditions. It is difficult for a car to warm up with thick oil because the oil tends to move slowly throughout the vehicle. The best way to get the most out of your motor oil is to check that the oil is a multi-viscosity type. Multi-viscosity oil can be thick or thin when it needs to. A car owner should also consider the grade of the oil. Oil with a higher number is thicker. While the numbers go up to seventy, newer cars run better with 5W30 in them.
It is hard for some people to choose between synthetic and conventional oil. One of the main concerns when choosing between these is cost. Synthetic oil typically costs 2 or 3 times as much as the standard oil. Conventional oil is fine to use if you are good about changing your oil every 3000-5000 miles. If you drive in cold weather you should avoid heavy multiviscosity oils. Heavier multiviscosity oils would need hot to run easily and it could be an obstacle for the engine start and its general functioning if it is used in a cold weather.

Introduction to Tire Pressure Gauge
If you've got a car, you probably own one pen-sized tire-pressure gauge. Maintaining proper air pressure in your car¡¯s tires is a simple preventative maintenance step you can perform to avoid such troubles as bad gas mileage, premature tire wear. A tire pressure gauge is a relatively simple device. It's got a funny little spherical thing on one end and a little sliding scale on the other end. You need to check your tire pressure when your tires are cold, or after less than a mile of driving. Knowing about how to measure a vehicle¡¯s tire pressure helps drivers to get more fuel-efficient results and to avoid some types of roadway emergencies. A digital tire pressure reader, or gauge, works in the same way as a traditional tire pressure reader. In this article, we'll figure out exactly how these pressure gauges work!
The first and most common gauge is the stick type, also known as the pen type. On the air input end is a ball or tube shaped body that presses onto the wheel stem. Inside the opening of this ball is a centered pin. The second type of gauge is the dial type. These gauges are easier to read, but more expensive and less robust than the stick variety. In this gauge, air from the tire enters a C-shaped tube inside the gauge. The third type is the digital tire gauge. These gauges are the easiest to use, they have a direct LCD readout, and some even talk! These gauges use an electronic component known as a strain gauge. Air from the tire goes into the body of the gauge, where it pushes against the strain gauge.
A tire pressure gauge has to be able to make a seal with the surface of the tire valve. These tools are made to seal off the escaping air to provide an accurate pressure reading. Inside the tire pressure gauge, there is a spring and a calibrated rod. These mechanical parts react to the amount of pressure coming from within the tire to make a small notched measuring element move outward, and this is how the driver reads the traditional analog tire pressure tool. There are three simple steps involved in measuring a tire's pressure with a pressure gauge: Get in a steady position to apply the pressure gauge to the valve stem; Apply the gauge, forming a good seal between the gauge and the stem and releasing air from the tire into the gauge; Read the pressure from the gauge.
A digital tire pressure reader, or gauge, works in the same way as a traditional tire pressure reader. The device is placed directly over the valve stem on a car tire. The air inside the tire exerts a force into the tire pressure reader itself, which in turn measures this force. This is where a digital tire pressure reader differs from a traditional tire pressure reader. A programmable digital tire gauge can help drivers to optimize their fuel efficiency by promoting proper tire pressure. In addition to normal car maintenance such as tune ups, oil changes and tire rotating, proper tire inflation helps to improve gas mileage. Some of digital gauges features are handy, such as backlit screens, LED flashlights and programmable memories that retain your car¡¯s recommended front and rear tire pressures.

Keep the Interior and Exterior of Your Car Clean
Americans spend a good part of their lives in their cars -- commuting to work, carpooling to school or soccer, and hauling materials for household projects. Your car is filthy inside and out. How much it has to put up with ¨C the dirt, the grit, the lashing of storm, the assault of snow and what not! Your kids¡¯ ice-cream cones melt all over the back seat; and muddy shoes make a mess of the floor mats. With a full-size family myself, I know how hard it is to keep everything clean without going crazy. As the common idea goes: it requires a long session with a sponge and bucket to get your car spanking clean. But few of us have that time to invest on a regular basis. What if you can get the desired sheen without needing to devote so much of your precious time? Well, our quick cleaning tips are aimed to do just that; it teaches you the secret of keeping the car shiny without needing you get stressed over it!
Start with the interior to avoid dragging the vacuum cleaner cord over wet ground. Collect rubbish, bits of paper and food wrappings. With a clean soft cloth, dust off the dash, steering column and centre console areas. Remove the loose floor mats. Some may have clips; put them somewhere safe so they don't get lost. Vacuum the floor, don't forget to move the seats forward and back. Vacuum the seats getting as far into the nooks and crannies as you can to pick up sand and crumbs. Vacuum the floor mats and vacuum the boot
The commonest problem suffered by your car¡¯s interior is spillage¡ªfrom your coke can, from your kid¡¯s ice-cream cone, from your wife¡¯s make up and so on. Together they can create enough blotches to give your car upholstery a worn-out look. But you can fight against them¡how? A good preventive solution is to use the coating of a product like Armor All. This coating helps you to easily wipe out the spots as soon as they appear. If the upholstery is made of leather, apply warm water mixed with mild soap and sponge the streaks with it.
Tips for a Spotless Exterior: Wash your vehicle in a shaded area. Your vehicle¡¯s surface should be cool. Pre-soak your vehicle to remove heavy contaminants like boulders and squirrel remains. Use mild liquid soap and a car-wash mitt or sponge-- and don't skimp on the water. Wash one section at a time, and then rinse it off. Start with the roof of the car, then proceed to the hood and the rear. Next, clean the upper sections of the sides, and then, finally, clean the lower areas, including the rocker panels. Use a different mitt to clean the tires and rims. Forget the pricey automotive cleaners.
Use collapsible trunk storage bins to organize emergency kit items as well as sports equipment for your kids. Invest in a backseat organizer designed with older kids in mind. They can hold everything from juice boxes and healthy snacks to CD players and small games. Pre-pack a bag for each activity your child participates in regularly and have it in the vehicle. Keep a small booklet in your glove box that can hold your owner's manual, registration and proof of insurance inside of it, as well as any emergency contact numbers you may need.
To have your car looking as good as new, treat small trim fittings, plastic and rubber parts as well. Plastic parts will usually be black - and can include grilles, bumpers, mirror backs and body moulding trims. A plastic protector product can be used as well as tyre and rubber protection products. They're usually silicon based so don't spray any on the windscreen. While you're cleaning lookout for panel and paint damage, windscreen chips, cracks in light lenses, loose trim items, cuts or damage to tyres and tyre wear and pressure (including the spare). Check your windscreen washer fluid, brake fluid, oil and coolant levels. As a busy mom, don't fret about keeping the car spotless. Everyday before taking out your car from the garage to go to work wipe down he car from outside with a clean dry cloth.

Car Air Purifier Overview
We spend a lot of time in our cars. And many people have noticed that the quality of air in their car is less than desirable. And millions of people suffer from allergies, asthma, chronic respiratory conditions, sleep deprivation and chemical sensitivities. There is a way to fight back and regain the fresh air you deserve even while in your car ¡ª by using car air purifiers. It help clean the air from the dust, smoke, allergens, and pollutants that are so prevalent on the road. Car air purifiers will work in a variety of ways. Some are ionic generators that clean the air by charging and collecting particles. Others use ozone to cleanse the car's air. An auto air purifier can make your travel time more pleasant and reduce the harmful effects of pollution, pollen and dust.
What criteria should you use to decide?
A car air purifier purifies the air just like any other type of air purifier that we find in houses. It is usually ultra portable or simply mobile. This would mean to say that you can fix the air purifier anywhere in the car you want. Some come with straps so that you can wrap them around the neck area of the seat, while some come with clips so that they can be stuck to the door. A simple car air purifier does not cost more than $200, but if you want to be more economical, you can use your portable small indoor air purifier in your car as well.
The best way to choose the right air purifier for you is to compare air purifiers by what they offer, how they work and what they remove from the air. What kind of vehicle are you driving? The only consideration here is getting a purifer sized correctly to do the job. Several different technologies are available, so you will need to pick one that suits you. Evaluate the technologies again as needed. Many of the car purifiers use mini versions of popular full-sized purifiers. In past and current tests. electronic-precipitator, or EP, air purifiers have worked best overall and restricted airflow least among whole-house models. They process by which EPs work creates some ozone as a byproduct.
There are some drawbacks to using a purifier in the car, however. For one, the units are of necessity small, therefore it is hard for them to effectively clean a whole lot of air. Another drawback is that the purifier will be absolutely useless if you use your air conditioner or open your windows as the purifier will never be able to keep up with that type of air flow. And don't assume that any air purifier will improve your health. The American Lung Association and medical societies such as the American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology also say there's little evidence that air purifiers alone will reduce the effect of pollutants for those with asthma or allergies.
